Obelisk War Challenger Guide

This guide is designed to offer some advice on how to beat each of the challengers for the Obelisk War. The stats, abilities and weapons mentioned here are simply some that we recommended - depending on your luck, and fighting style, you may be able to beat them with very different strategies.

The war has begun, and the first wave of opponents have arrived!

How to Obtain

They are automatic challengers as part of the Obelisk War plot. You will only have 5 of them to battle, however; the opponent associated with the faction you joined will not be listed as an opponent for you. These challengers first appeared at midnight on February 28, 2013 at The Mysterious Obelisk.

Recommended Stats

Here are some of the minimum stats that you may want your pet to have before charging back.

Recommended Stats
Level At this point, it really doesn't matter what your level is.
Hit Points At least 10 is best but with some luck you can win with less.
Strength At least 13 for the boost, but the higher the better.
Defense For a cautious approach, get the 13 boost.

Faerie Abilities

Even the free abilities are useful for these challengers. Static Cling is highly recommended, since it adds 3 free icons to your attack, and you can use it for multiple turns!

Hit Points At least 55 is best but with some luck you can win with less.
Strength At least 35 for the boost, but the higher the better.
Defense For a cautious approach, get the 20 boost.

The free abilities are still useful, but you may want to think about getting some abilities from the 10 or 25 level. Static Cling is highly recommended, since it adds 3 free icons to your attack, and you can use it for multiple turns! Other good options are Cranky or Positive Thinking (both Level 10) or An Icicle (level 25).

The free abilities are can be useful, but for these opponents, definitely get an ability from the 50 level. These opponents aren't shy about using Throw Pillows multiple times during a battle. Lens Flare is recommended, but Shhhhhhhhh... is favored by some battlers. Static Cling is highly recommended, since it adds 3 free icons to your attack, and you can use it for multiple turns! Other good options are Cranky or Positive Thinking (both Level 10) or An Icicle (Level 25).

Suggested Weapons

These challengers are a real challenge. It's time to bring out the big weapons. Here are some recommended weapons for most or all challengers.

Weapons

Any 15-icon muffin can be used instead of Brain Muffin, such as Darigan Muffin, Icy Muffin, Smelly Dung Muffin, or Water Muffin. Another cheaper and weaker alternative is Jar of Meepit Eyes.

These challengers all do very varied attacks, so you may find different weapons useful for each challenger.

How to Obtain

They are automatic challengers as part of the Obelisk War plot. You will only have 5 of them to battle, however; the opponent associated with the faction you joined will not be listed as an opponent for you. These challengers first appeared at midnight on March 12, 2013 at The Mysterious Obelisk.

Recommended Stats

Here are some of the minimum stats you should have before taking on these formidable opponents.

Recommended Stats
Level At least Level 50 to use appropriate faerie abilities.
Hit Points At least 150.
Strength At least 200 for the boost, but the higher the better.
Defense At least 200, but you can do the 125 boost if you have higher HP (at least 220).

Faerie Abilities

For these opponents, definitely invest in some faerie abilities, especially those from the 50 level. Lens Flare is recommended, but Shhhhhhhhh... is favored by some battlers. Other good options are Cranky or Positive Thinking (both Level 10) or An Icicle (Level 25).

Abilities from the 100 level are currently glitched, so we are not recommending any of those. If you are a higher level, consider getting abilities from the 200 level, such as Warlocks Rage.
