The Cyodrakes Gaze. One of Neopias most mysterious boats. Now it's lost in a sea of tiles! Fortunatly, crew members can point you towards finding the ship, which is found after flipping over lots of tiles and unveiling some hidden objects, too. Locate the Cyodrakes Gaze and you win! Simple!
You use your left mouse button to click on the tiles on screen. The one you click on reveals a tile underneath it. These can usually point towards the Cyodrakes Gaze whereabouts. Your goal is to locate the Cyodrakes Gaze as quickly as possible with as few clicks as possible.
First impressions of the game screen seem daunting, but it's rather simple, as explained below:

Overall, there are 240 tiles. But don't worry about them all. Just the ones you're likely to click. The boxed area shows where the ship could be located. This narrows down as you play.

These are the tiles you really want to get. Thankfully, they are the ones that are more likely to come up. They point you towards the Cyodrakes Gaze's whereabouts on the grid. All Bonju, Linae, Shumi and Hoban can do is point left, up, right or down. They never point diagonally. That would make it too easy! What I always do is to click the tile the last crew member was pointing at. Eventually I get to the ship. This is a guarenteed way to get to the ship, whereas general clicking in the direction doesn't help as much. You can take a more mathmatical approach, however, and narrow the board by half given what the last crew member pointed at. This will slowly refine the placing of the ship, resulting in less clicks but more time wasted for thinking.

This is the tile you need to look for! It has a big image of the Cyodrakes Gaze on it, with a blue background. You can't really miss it. So remember, the level isn't over until you have found this tile!

These are known in the game as the "special tiles". The cannon explodes adjacent squares (so the crew members can't point you towards the ship), the whirlpool reveals the adjacent tiles for a couple of seconds (This saves on clicks) and the treasure chest gives you more bonus points.
So finally, some gameplay tips. Try not to randomly click. It's a waste of clicks. What you need to do, as mentioned above, is to click the tile that the last crew member pointed to. That way you will have a progressive set of clicks which will get you to the Cyodrakes Gaze fairly quickly.
I suggest playing on 'Normal Mode' for the most points. That way, you can play 20 levels with 20 seconds each. If you take fairly long on one level, it doesn't really matter. However, if you are quick with your ship finding, play in 'Time Trial', which gives you 200 seconds to get as far as you can. There is no level limit, so you could, in theory, keep going and going!
Keep the setting to 'Brief View' as you get more points that way. Just make sure you're paying attention. :)
A past Mini-plot held by Neopets involved finding who pushed Hoban off of the Cyodrakes Gaze ship. It aroused mystery thoughout Neopets, eventually finding Bonju as the person who pushed Hoban. Neopets players had to guess who pushed him, when and where Hoban fell.
Eye of the Storm is a simple game that doesn't require much thought or effort at all. It gives good Neopoints, too! Well worth the time to play it. Go find the Cyodrakes Gaze!
