Introduction

In this game, you play as an Alien Aisha whose mission is to save the Tyrannian Neopets from being hit by the rocks spewed out by the volcano. By using your laser, you have to blast the rocks before they hit the ground. But you should make sure your laser matches the rock type. If a boulder crashes too near one of the Tyrannians, you lose a life. Lose five lives, and the game is over.

Instructions and Controls

Take aim with your mouse, and then fire your laser using the spacebar or left mouse button. Up to six different types of rocks will shoot out of the volcano, so you must use the keys 1 through 6 on your keyboard to match the laser to the type of rock. The numeric keypad of your keyboard will not work.

Tips and Strategies

Each rock you blast can give you either 2 or 4 points, depending on how perfect your aim is.

These are the types of rocks you'll encounter in the game:

Boulder # 1 Brown Rock
Boulder # 2 Blue Rock with 3 Red Lines
Boulder # 3 Fire
Boulder # 4 Red UFO-looking thingy
Boulder # 5 Rigged Rock
Boulder # 6 Wheel

It's important to know where to place your fingers. Not everyone has the same preference when it comes to finger position, so use what you think is comfortable for you. But based on my personal experience, these are the recommended finger positions.

As you can see, I prefer extending my index fingers for Boulders 5 & 6 in latter rounds. With the start of Level 3, it is highly recommended not to remove your assigned fingers for Boulders # 1-3, as you won't need those fingers for other boulders anyway.

Below are some extra tips to keep in mind:
  • In the event both rocks of the same type pop out very close to each other, wait a bit until they separate. When two rocks of the same type are close to each other, there's a greater chance of hitting the one you really don't want to blast. This means you'll have greater chance of getting only 2 points when two rocks are too close. Wait before the two rocks separate before you blast them.
  • When blasting rocks, use the left mouse button instead of the spacebar. This way, you just have to use your right hand for the mouse and your left hand for the numbers on your keyboard.
  • Submit your score only if you activated all the bonus rounds after each level. My personal minimum score limit is 600. If you score lower than that, restart the game.
  • In the event you get confused whether you're playing a Regular Level or a Bonus Round, just take a quick glance at the top-right corner of the screen. If it says Lives: #, you're playing a Regular Round. If it says Seconds Remaining: #, you're playing a Bonus Round. When playing the regular levels, always take your time. Be sure you get an almost perfect score (or a perfect score, as much as possible). While in Bonus Rounds, quickly shoot the rocks as you see them pop out the volcano. Do your best to blast all of them before time runs out.
  • The game's alignment is not precise. Shooting slightly below the rock will still give you 4 points, while shooting slightly above the rock will only give you 2 points. Remember this throughout the game. This will come in handy.

Conclusion

I'm sure this Game Guide would help you a lot! ;) If at first you didn't succeed in making more than 900 NP per game, just practice. Practice makes perfect! ^_^
