The Daily Neopets is seeking exceptional content writers. If you enjoy writing high-quality articles and are an experienced Neopets player, this job may be for you! As a content writer, you would be responsible for writing new articles about Neopets features (i.e. any feature we've missed in the past or any new feature that is coming out). In addition to general helpful articles, content writers also write game guides for Neopets flash games. Overall, the position is rather flexible; you can choose to specialize in general helpful articles or game guides or choose to dabble in both.
Since this is a writing position, a full fledged article sample is required with your application. If you do not enclose a sample article that you've written with your application, you have no chance of being accepted.

Check the Staff Chat (and get some free donuts!).
Contribute new helpful articles or game guides on a regular basis.
Use TDN's staff panel to write articles (no worries -- we'll give you a tutorial; it's really easy!).
Chat with our head of content, Xepha, frequently about upcoming events that may need to be covered or articles that need to be written.
Content staff also use our web-based ticket system to respond to visitor inquiries (such as article requests, spelling corrections, fixing outdated information, adding new tips, etc).
Below you can see a list of our preferences. If you meet our preferences, it's a big bonus. However, these do not need to be met to apply.
We're currently hoping to find content writers whose time zones permit them to cover events around 12 AM NST. (e.g. Games Master Challenges, Advent Calendar, Daily Dare, Altador Cup)
The people we're looking for must meet the following qualifications. If you do not, please do not apply as you will not be accepted.
You must be at least 13 years of age. No exceptions. If you are not, please do not apply because we need staff members who have access to every portion of Neopets. If you aren't 13 years of age and have an account with 13-year-old privileges, you shouldn't have them. ;)
Speaking of age, we really prefer applicants be at least 16 years old.
You must have MSN/Windows Live messenger. All of our current staff members use this to communicate.
We welcome people from all around the world to apply. However, you need to have a firm grasp of English because The Daily Neopets is an English web site.
Applicants must not be staff at any other Neopets help site.
Please put effort and some "spark" in your application. We view grammar and spelling errors in applications as careless. Please, by all means, impress us and bust out the amazingness!
Virtually all of our positions require an average to expert understanding of HTML.
If applying for content, we understand your content sample takes time. However, if you don't put your best foot forward, we'll also assume you won't put your best foot forward on staff at TDN. ;) If applying for content, a sample is required otherwise your application will be instantly rejected.
