Brightvale
Known as an unremarkable underdog for much of their time in the Cup, Brightvale showed the beginnings of greatness early in last year's season, playing to par with many of the tournament's recognised top teams. The brief spurt of glory didn't last long however, and the team ended the season in thirteenth place - but not before clearly demonstrating their potential.
Brightvale's Yooyuball game is reasonably strong for an underdog team. Coupled with the team's decent side game clout, this makes them a heavyweight contender at the lower levels of the leaderboard, and indeed a major threat right up to the tournament's top tiers when it comes to some side games. When Team Brightvale manages to organise and pull its complete game plan together however, it is truly a sight to behold - the team definitely has the potential to make its mark much higher up in the standings.
Brightvale isn't the only team with potential however, and before they can distinguish themselves, they will have to develop one of the key traits of the Cup's established powerhouses: endurance. The team has so far been unable to sustain itself in top form for long. Until they can strategise, coordinate, and motivate effectively and consistently, it will still be hard for them to get ahead of their peers.
