Darigan Citadel
Known as an extremely powerful team since the early days of the Altador Cup, last year Darigan Citadel began to recover from the lull that tends to affect cup-winning teams. They remained fairly strong in side games, and very strong in the all-important game of Yooyuball, throughout the double round-robin. The team struggled slightly in the finals, but still managed to finish the season ranked third.
This year the Citadel looks set to fully re-establish its reputation as a consistent powerhouse - the team has had a large, established fan base since the beginning of the Cup, and it shows: their strong side game play and downright dangerous Yooyuball skill are unlikely to subside any time soon.
Consistency was one of Darigan's strong points throughout much of last year, and it's a debatable point whether their loss in the play-offs was the result of fatigue, or simply the team lacking enough overall Yooyuball punch to level with the top two powerhouses. Either way, the team's finals performance will be a particularly critical factor for them this year.
