Kiko Lake
While undoubtedly one of the Cup's underdogs, having ranked in the tournament's lower tiers consistently in past years, Kiko Lake is often drastically underestimated by analysts and opponents alike, to devastating effect. They may not seem like much, ranking only sixteenth in AC V, but the Kiko Lakers are a shrewd and focused band of indomitable athletes, undeterred by even seemingly unbeatable powerhouses.
This team is arguably the hardiest and most dangerous underdog in the Cup. Their fan base is likely the smallest of any team, but it is tight-knit, determined, and well organised. The result: a team that can develop a strategy tailored precisely to the team it is facing, and execute that strategy with terrifying tenacity.
Kiko Lake has a remarkable number of spectacular upsets to their name, but they haven't yet been able to turn those upsets into enough consistent victories to climb up the leaderboard. The fact remains that their strategies seem to be mostly dictated as a response to the opposing team, without much room for Kiko Lake's own goals. But while they may not be a championship contender, the Kikos remain the one team who can strike fear (or at least concern) into the hearts of the powerhouses' smarter strategists, and that's quite a feat.
