The way damage is calculated is: number of icons * damage per icon * % of damage based on attack ability you use * % of damage based on attack ability by your opponent. Each Neopet has its own strength and certain levels of strength have their own damage multipliers. Instead of calculating damage for yourself, we've made this fancy damage calculator tool for you.
NOTE - There is no "random" factor in the battledome anymore.
